State Farm® Insurance Agent Clinton Cook

"Definitely avoid this company. Agent suggested I file a minimal damage claim with my insurance as there were objects in the road and my tire rim got bent. He said, 'it wont affect your insurance or anything because it's simply a small damage claim.' Four months later my premium shoots up $120 AND now I've got an additional point on my license from the DMV due to 'the collision' that I was ALREADY intending to handle myself. But at the direction of my 'agent' I filed a claim, and now I'm listed as having had an accident that was my fault. I'm 33 years old and have NEVER had an accident that was my fault. Why would I file a claim for damages to get covered at the expense of State Farm telling the NC DMV that I had an accident, which I didn't! Multiple people hit the exact same metal object in the road. I counted 5 additional cars that hit the same item, there may have been more. I am absolutely livid and I will NEVER, EVER use state farm again. This agent KNEW that he would be reporting my damage claim to the DMV as a COLLISION & he also KNEW my insursnce rate would go up, and yet he still advised me to file this claim with state farm telling me that this would not affect me in the least bit as I even said to him, no, I dont want my premium to go up. And 4 months later, state farm wants me to pay $300/mo for full coverage insurance on a WHITE chevy! It's absolutely ridiculous. This is a HUMONGOUS mess that is a DIRECT result of me FOLLOWING THE ADVICE OF CLINTON COOK, the agent at this establishment. Pick your agent wisely! This guy ONLY wants to make money for his agency! He doesn't really care about helping you as an individual. He's only interested in getting MONEY and screwing you over! Trust me!"

"Horrible service. I tried getting hold of Clinton Cook for two months regarding adding another vehicle to my policy. He never responded. The person in his office then removed my existing vehicle without telling me and added the additional vehicle. I emailed them three times and got no response. I called several times and kept getting sent to their voicemail. I was finally able to reach Clinton (he finally answered the phone) on August 12 (I bought the second car in May) and I told him I wanted to cancel my auto policy. He was extremely curt and rude and said he would send a cancellation letter via email and hung up on me. He didn’t bother to ask why I was wanting to cancel or how he could serve his client better. So much for being a good neighbor. State Farm was definitely not there."

"When contacting Clinton Cook, he happened to have the day off, so I had the opportunity to speak to Shirley Almaleh. She was so friendly and helpful. Other State Farm agents who I´ve spoke to have been rude, so Shirley really made my day. She helped me transfer title of my car and set up State Farm insurance as well as get me a discount on Drive Safe and Save. Shirley has a way with people, and she will SURELY do a fantastic job with her future customers. Thank you Shirley!"

"I had Clinton Cook as my agent for one year. Biggest complaint by far is terrible customer service, which included inability to answer emails or return phone calls. It took me 2 month to request a simple quote change, which appeared to be entered incorrectly several times. With so many other options out there, it does not make sense to work with this agency. Consider reading other reviews as they appear to have a pattern for unacceptable customer service. (which is a bare minimum requirement for insurance agency)"

"I called State Farm to report that my truck windshield had been broken due to a large tree limb falling it. I spoke with Maria Avina. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable in getting the repair process started. In just a few minutes she had initiated the process. A short time later I received a call from the company that I chose to replace the windshield. In less than two hours from the time I called and talked to Maria I had an appointment to have the windshield replaced. The entire process was efficient and easy. I give credit to Maria for a hassel free process."

"This is the worst insurance agency I ever dealt with. The guy whose name is Alex is exremely dishonest and manipulative. Even though they had my driver license number from the first day I talked to them, every single day after that they gave me different quotes, each time stating they forgot to add this and and that. State Farm is a good company, but this agency is not. I do not know how they are staying in business. Stay away from them.."
